What Now?

Now that Easter is over, what about the rest of the year and more importantly, what about where will you spend eternity?  Almost 2000 years ago Jesus did something for you and me that no one else could do.  He paid our sin debt by willingly laying His life down in death on the cross.  The price for atonement was always a spotless lamb and year after year the priest would perform the “ritual” of slaying the Passover lamb.  But the Word of God says that this was only a fore-shadow of what was to come.  One day God would offer one final sacrifice for all of mankind.  That sacrifice came in the only begotten Son of God.  Jesus came in the flesh, lived a sinless life, and died a sacrificial death by shedding His perfect blood.

Many of you heard that story on Easter Sunday at a church you attended (at least I hope you did), but will you now accept what Jesus did for you and invite Him to be the Lord of your life?  Will you leave your cross of rejection where you are in unbelief and come to the cross of reception by crying out in repentance for Jesus to remember you when He comes into His Kingdom (See Luke 24:32-43).  In the midst of all the hate and even apathy, stood an old rugged cross, The Cross of Love, where Jesus cried out in Love, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”  Your sins are forgiven; all you need to do right now is come to Jesus and believe in Him and what He has already done.  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.Romans 10:9-10

You have heard, now what will you do?  If you need help in understanding, or you asked Jesus into your heart, I would love to hear from you so we can help disciple you even more.
